Michael J. Austin is the Mack Distinguished Professor of Nonprofit Management Emeritus and the founding Director of the Mack Center on Nonprofit and Public Sector Management in the Human Services and the Bay Area Social Services Consortium. He is the former dean of the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Work, and taught graduate courses in the area of agency administration and community planning.
