The work of the Mack Center continues to generate significant implications for the improvement of management practice in the human services. Each of the following major areas of inquiry identifies implications for management practice:

  • Building knowledge-sharing systems to support evidence-informed practice within the context of transforming human service agencies into learning organizations  
  • Identifying the impact of the Great Recession on public human service organizations 
  • Exploring the cross-sector relationships (nonprofit and public) related to service contracting
  • Understanding child welfare practice through the use of data-mining case records
